While we endeavour to make induction in the PAF as convenient as possible yet you will have to apply yourself, mind and soul, to come up to the stipulated standards. Most of our testing is done on computers and is based on user friendly methods. The induction process is designed not only to evaluate you but also to provide you with a learning experience. SELECTION PROCEDURE

The following selection procedure is followed for commissioning in PAF

PC Courses

  1. Advertisement in leading newspapers
  2. Registration
  3. Intelligence Test followed by Academic Test
  4. Preliminary medical examination at PAF I&S Centres
  5. Filling-up of application Forms which are dispatched to GHQ for scrutiny of their previous candidature
  6. ISSB tests and interview
  7. Central Medical Board at PAF Masroor Karachi
  8. Flying Aptitude Test of GD (P) candidates
  9. Preparation of merit list by Air Headquarters
  10. Issuance of joining instructions for training at PAF Academy Risalpur

SPSSC / SSC Courses

  1. Advertisement in leading newspapers
  2. Registration
  3. Intelligence Test followed by Academic Test
  4. Preliminary medical examination at PAF I&S Centres
  5. Filling-up of application Forms which are dispatched to GHQ for scrutiny of their previous candidature

  7. AHQ Board interview
  8. Central Medical Board at Lahore

INELIGIBILITY

  1. Twice rejected by inter services Selection board (ISSB)/ General Headquarters (GHQ) or Naval Headquarters (NHQ) or Air Headquarters (AHQ) Selection Board (third chance for specific higher qualification courses only)
  2. Twice screened out by ISSB / any Service Selection Board
  3. Once rejected by ISSB and once rejected by any services' Selection Board
  4. Twice rejected by ISSB or any service Selection Board for specific higher qualification course
  5. If declared permanently unfit by Armed Forces Appeal Medical Board (AFAMB) for commissioning in PAF/Army/Navy (candidates declared unfit by AFAMB/ AMB/ CMH will remain ineligible until they are declared fit by Appeal Medical Board)
  6. If dismissed / removed/ debarred/ from any Government Service including Armed Forces
  7. If withdrawn / rejected from any service training institution for the reasons of maladjustment/ disciplinary grounds/ medical unfitness / resignation / release / character. However, candidates withdrawn due to poor performance in academics or lack of flying aptitude are eligible to apply for branches other than the ones they were withdrawn from
  8. If convicted by a court of law for any offence (any criminal case registered against)
  9. If original academic certificates are found tampered with
  10. If concealed any information or have provided incorrect information at the time of filling in application forms
  11. Thrice screened out by Army/ Navy/ Air Force in any Preliminary Tests
